Tony Hancock (ABC Regional Hispanic Ministry)
, “As I write this article, my father is extremely ill. He is not expected to live much longer. I’m grateful to the
Lord for the time I’ve been able to spend with him recently, but I’m more grateful for the fact that his life is
secure in Christ. Many years ago, my father made the decision to accept Christ as his personal Lord and
Savior, and over the ensuing decades his life has borne witness to the fact that the decision he made was
sincere. Although it is difficult to see him wasting away physically, and to know that we will probably not be
able to spend much more time together, I can echo Paul’s words; truly we do not “grieve like the rest of
men, who have no hope” (1 Thessalonians 4:13). We have the certainty that my father’s life is hidden with
Christ in God.”
“Many of the Hispanics in our area, however, do not have this certain hope. They are not certain of their
final destiny, or that of their loved ones. Please join me in praying that the hope of Christ would shine
brightly in their hearts as we reach out with the Good News.”
“A note: Thank you to those of you who have already responded to our Bible distribution project. If you
would like to donate to this project, please send your check directly to Iglesia Bautista Nueva Esperanza, P.
O. Box 364, Estill, SC 29918, and designate it “Bibles.” As always, thank you for your prayers and support
of ABC Regional Hispanic Ministries.
